**Applications Specialist (VIC)**

**About The Role**

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with the interpretation of results, instrument performance and generating reports.
- Provide technical support for company products by communicating with the researchers, pathologists, laboratory staff, purchasing staff and administrators.
- In addition to providing superior customer service, communicate with customers and assist them to achieve their goals
- Advise the sales team to determine which products and solutions are the most appropriate for fulfilling customer requirements.
- Participate in product demonstrations
- Conduct training for internal staff on new products.
- Regularly provide feedback to the organization about customer trends, market developments, and competitive activities.
- Travel within Australia/New Zealand for face-to-face meetings with customers and attendance at roadshows and conferences

**About The Person**
This role is ideal for someone who has proven experience working in a technical role relating to Next-Generation-Sequencing and automated liquid handling.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of BSc in a life science discipline
- Clear understanding of Next-Generation-Sequencing
- Experience with automated liquid handlers
- The ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of research and pathology staff
- 1-2 years’ experience in similar roles
- Willingness to travel interstate
