Quarry Operator

**Operate and Assist**

We are currently seeking self-motivated and safety-oriented Quarry Operators to join our Nerang Quarry team.
This role will be reporting to the Quarry Manager and is a full-time casual position, leading to permanent for the right person.
Hanson is one of Australia's leading suppliers of heavy building materials to the construction industry. We produce aggregates, including crushed rock, sand, gravel and road base from a number of locations across Australia.

**The Financials**:

- The rates start at $25.59 plus 25% causal loading (e.g. $25.59 + loading = $31.99) and go up depending on experience level.
- Penalty rates are paid after 9.5hrs Mon-Thurs, with Fridays and Saturdays paid at overtimes rates all day.

**In your new role with us, you will**:

- Operate Mobile Equipment, specifically Front End Loaders (Sales) and potentially Dump Truck/Water Cart;
- Learn the operation of Fixed Crushing Plants and Blending Plant;
- Conduct general fixed/mobile plant maintenance and inspections where required;
- Perform manual handling tasks where required;
- Get dirty - there is a working outdoors component;
- Be expected to pitch in and perform any/all quarry tasks where needed, particularly during busy periods;
- Be available to work half-a-day on Saturdays where required. We are currently very busy so there is plenty of overtime available

- No issues with working in an environment that involves dirt, mud, and grease.
- An interest in mining, but hate the idea of FIFO.
