NSW Government Agency is looking for a Junior Hydrographer to assist in the coordination of a range of oceanic/marine, coastal, estuarine/riverine (including flood waters), water system, sewer system and/or stormwater system monitoring services under the guidance of senior staff to deliver high quality and innovative client outcomes.
**The role**:
- Collaborate with the Manager and undertake various projects involving field studies, investigations, hydrographic data capture and analysis within wastewater, coastal and estuarine environments in NSW, as well as problem assessment and recommendation of solutions.
- Provide quality technical data that supports the management of environmental infrastructure.
- Contribute and work collaboratively to balance conflicting priorities and deliver high quality and innovative project outcomes within agreed parameters.
- Develop and maintain a good understanding of industry trends and practices and Departmental obligations
**About you**:
- Appropriate Qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
- One or more of the following current: First Aid Certificate, Confined Spaces Guidance Awareness, Confined Spaces Certificate, Commercial Diving Certificate, Advanced Resuscitation, Coxswain Certificate and fitness assessment.
- A valid NSW Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel, including overnight stay.
