What does the business unit do?
The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) delivers a justice and community safety system that works to build a safer, fairer and stronger Victoria.
Data, Digital and Insights (DDI) focuses on meeting the departments data and digital needs by providing responsive and sustainable services focused on supporting departmental outcomes. The specialist groups within DDI consist of Technology Solutions and Evidence and Insights.
Technology Solutions explores and employs modern technology to enable the department's business to function via the use of modern, appropriate platforms, products and services.
Evidence and Insights leads the DJCS data reporting, analytics and modelling program, outcomes measurement and evaluation services. It includes the Crime Statistics Agency and National Coronial Information System.

What will the role do?
The Cloud Security Consultant role is part of the Cloud Centre of Excellence (COE) and is responsible for ensuring the secure design and delivery of Cloud solutions to the Application team (internal customer), based on customer requirements.
This role will specialize in all aspects of information security management as well as business and regulatory compliance using Cloud services in large-scale computing environments.

What skills should a Cloud Security Consultant have?
- Experience of working in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Specialist in Cloud computing technologies and workload transition challenges with a focus on cyber security
- Knowledge of AWS Well Architected Framework, the ACSC ISM, VPDSF/S, and Cloud migration industry standards and best practices
- Technical writing skills for documenting environments and procedures
- Extensive experience with industry compliance and security standards such as ACSC ISM, PCI DSS, SOC-1&2, ISO 27001, NIST/DoD, SAS70, FISMA, HIPAA, and NIST
- Extensive experience with continuous security practices, including threat modelling, threat and vulnerability management, secure coding practices, and automated penetration testing.
- Extensive experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (e.g. security, privacy, SOX etc.).
- Experience with network / perimeter security platforms.
- Extensive experience with encryption in-flight and at-rest practices, as well as certificate and secrets management.
- Experience performing security assessments.
- Relevant tertiary or post graduate qualifications are highly desirable.
- One of the following certifications is highly desirable: CISSP, CISA, CISM, ISO27001 LA/LI, SANS
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate is highly desirable.
- AWS Security - Specialty is highly desirable.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional is highly desirable.
