**About the role**

We are looking for a **Packing Operator** to join the team at our Enfield flour mill. Reporting to the Packing Supervisor, this role contributes to the success of the business by taking responsibility for the packing or mixing of products in line with our policies and procedures.

The key responsibilities of the position are
- Packing and mixing products within specifications, compliant with safety, food safety and quality regulations
- Accurately measuring and recording product weight to minimise wastage
- Inspecting and testing of magnets, metal detectors, sieves and weighers
- Proactively identifying, communicating and where possible rectifying safety, food safety and quality issues. Rectifying any issues with the packing and mixing process
- Maintaining a high level of GMP, hygiene and workplace safety in line with GWF and company policies

This is a full-time role, with some requirements for extended/weekend hours as needed.

**About you**

While experience in a food production environment would be advantageous, we are open to discussing the role with individuals who have a positive attitude towards work and a willingness to learn.
- Effective communication skills, as an ongoing dialogue with the Packing Supervisor, Production Manager and other team members is an important part of the role
- Positive attitude and takes pride in working to a high level of accuracy
- Proactive in communicating issues as they arise to ensure consistently high product quality
- Commitment to maintaining an environment that prioritises safety and food safety
- Enjoys working as part of a team and is comfortable working under pressure

A forklift license would be advantageous but is not essential.
