Health Care Worker

**About The Role**

NSU staff have permanent hours and an electronic roster which advises shift locations. NSU staff are required to work AM, PM and Night Duty shifts. NSU staff are required to input their shift requests into our electronic rostering system for review.

To be considered for this role you must be living in the Ballarat region. We are not able to consider applicants who are currently studying for this role.

You will required to provdide 2 referees, one being your current Facility Manager / NUM and the second another manager / supervisor. Newly qualified carers can provide placement manager / course coordinator and a manager from a current / recent employer.

**Key Responsibilities**

Maintaining accurate availability in our electronic rostering system and accepting shifts based on availabilit
- y Assisting residents to meet their needs as defined by them in a variety of Care Community setting
- s Provide resident focused and holistic care under the supervision of the Registered & Enrolled Nurse
- s Accurate documentation of resident care and meeting of health service guideline
- s Ensure a clean and safe environment for residents, visitors and staf
- f Provide resident focused service in relation to meals / food service
- s Commitment to ongoing mandatory educatio

**Skills and experience**

Successful completion of a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or Certificate IV in Ageing Suppor
- t Assist Clients With Medication Unit, desirable but not essentia
- l Current HLTFSE001 - Follow Basic Food Handling Practices certificate, or willingness to obtai
- n Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtai
- n Current Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtai
- n Previous experience in a similar role would be preferred, but is not essentia
