**What You Will Be Doing**

An opportunity exists for a creative, motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the highly valued diversional therapy team at The Mornington Centre.
In this role you will be offering a specialised activity program for patients with age related cognitive impairment including dementia, delirium and depression that is tailored to reflect the individual goals and needs of the patient. You will be providing both 1:1 and group activities, and contributing to patient care as part of a supportive and dedicated multidisciplinary team.

We are seeking an individual with relevant qualifications in Diversional Therapy, Leisure and Lifestyle or equivalent. Allied Health Assistants with relevant clinical experience/qualifications are welcome to apply. You will be creative, engaging, collaborative, flexible and resilient in working as part of the multidisciplinary team to support engagement in meaningful activities for people with delirium, cognitive impairment and/or dementia.
Hours and days are open to negotiation across a 7 day roster.

**What You Need**

We anticipate you will have:

- Relevant qualifications in Diversional Therapy, Leisure and Lifestyle or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to deliver programs and interventions to people with dementia, cognitive impairments and/or changed behaviours
- Ability to determine patients’ needs and preferences and deliver meaningful diversional therapy interventions and programs
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Willingness to learn, collaborate with other staff and respond to feedback to develop skills within diversional therapy

**Additional Requirements**
- Please refer to salary circular for HEALTH AND ALLIED SERVICES, MANAGERS AND ADMINISTRATIVE WORKERS (VICTORIAN PUBLIC SECTOR) (SINGLE INTEREST EMPLOYERS) ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT 2021-2025 for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
