**Background**

**The Role**

We seek the services of a motivated individual to assist with powder coating and spray painting of our fabricated sheet-metal components as well as assembly and general factory-hand work as required.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Powder coating of fabricated sheet-metal components using our in-house powder coating facility.
- Ensuring the powder coating facility is cleaned regularly to maintain a dust free environment.
- Small volumes of spray painting of smaller components using aerosol spray cans.
- Assisting with manufacturing and assembly and other factory-hand duties as required, this may include mechanical assembly of other components, wiring preparation, sheet metal preparation and the use of machinery.
- Recording of production output and timesheets.

**Skills & Experience**
- Powder coating experience in a commercial environment essential
- Well organised and neat
- Proficiency with producing a high quality paint finish through an understanding of the powder coating technical process
- Proficiency with basic hand and power tools
- Ability to read and understand technical workshop drawings
- An eye for problem solving and process improvement
- Proficiency using a Windows computer terminal
- Efficient and systematic approach to work
- Excellent eye for quality with a common sense approach
- Proficiency with hand tools
- Good general understanding of safe work practices in a workshop environment
- A customer-oriented focus to all work
- Ability to work under instruction
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Trade experience in a related role with references is required

Hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday full time, typically 2-3 days per week of powder coating and the balance in other roles.

**IMMEDIATE START**

Starting Salary: $30+ per hour depending on experience

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week

Work Location: In person

Expected Start Date: 31/01/2025
