**UON is currently seeking experienced and motivated Apprentice Boilermaker to join the Production team in our Malaga workshop.**

**Our requirements for you to be an Apprentice at UON**:

- Hold Boilermaker apprenticeships or completion of relevant pre-apprentice qualifications (essential)
- Previous experience working as a TA. (essential)
- Committed to a 4 year apprenticeship (essential)
- Pass a pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol screen (essential)
- Must be an Australian citizen/resident and reside in the Perth Metropolitan Area due to location of positions; (essential)
- Experience within the manufacturing industry using basic welding knowledge (preferred)
- Hold a current and valid WA manual driver’s license (preferred)
- Forklift ticket (preferred)
- Customer focused and company orientated (essential)

**Your main responsibilities will include**:

- Work together with the Boilermakers technician in the activities such as:

- Interpret workshop drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.
- Installing boilers into facilities.
- Reading blueprints for location, position, and dimensions.
- Completing maintenance documentation.
- Organizing and assembling boiling parts.
- Shaping and fabricating parts.
- Cleaning pressure vessel equipment.
- Inspecting equipment for proper functioning
- Shaping and fabricating
- Heat treat metal parts and components
- Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools, welding equipment or computer
- Assemble parts and structures by lining up and joining them by welding, bolting or riveting
- Cut, roll, shape, bend, mould, spin, heat or hammer metal products to fabricate parts or sub-assemblies
- Operating workshop machines
- Using hand and power tools
- Working Hours: Mon-Fri 6AM-3:00P
- Training, uniforms, PPE, and mentoring will be provided to ensure your success
