**About the Department for Correctional Services**

The Department employs approximately 2,000 staff and has responsibility for nine prisons and fifteen Community Correctional offices across the state. Our vision is for a safer community by protecting the public and reducing re-offending. **Duties**

The Prisoner Services Officer is responsible for administrative duties in a range of functions and is expected to participate in multi-skilling which results in a comprehensive and cost-effective service.

**Special Conditions**
- Section 47 of the Public Sector Act 2009 applies in conjunction with other provisions of the act and other applicable industrial entitlements.
- Initially located at Mobilong Prison, Murray Bridge.
- Required to work in a medium security environment and will have face to face contact with prisoners.
- The incumbent is required to satisfactorily complete a National Criminal History Check.
- A current South Australian Driver's Licence is essential.
- A flexible approach to working hours is required.
- Core time and start times, may be negotiated to suit the needs of the business unit.
- A current SA driver's licence is essential
- Some Interstate and intrastate travel will be required which may necessitate overnight absences.

**Remuneration**

ASO2 ($58,709 - $63,154pa) - Part-time Equivalent
