**Role Description/Criteria**
At Emmaus we hold the care, safety and wellbeing of children as a central and fundamental responsibility of our school.
Applicants will believe in educating the whole child - academically, socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually. They will possess the understandings, skills and ability to implement high expectations for all. The applicant will be positive, flexible and willing to embrace a collaborative approach to learning and teaching. The applicant will be able to work 2 days - Thursdays and Fridays. Extra days could be negotiated.
In addition, successful applicants will be expected to demonstrate
- commitment to the Catholic Ethos, the principles of Catholic teaching and an ability to live the school's vision
- commitment to the Emmaus Child Safe Policy and the Staff Code of Conduct
- commitment to ongoing professional learning and the continuing development of a positive school culture
- an ability to communicate positively and effectively with all stakeholders in the school community
- an understanding of inclusion
- a willingness to use data to inform differentiation for all
- a passion for teaching and learning and a willingness to engage, motivate and challenge all learners.
Special Requirements
- accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School or a commitment to obtain accreditation
- current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration
- provide 3 referees with one being your current principal (if applicable)
