**Your Role**:
This role will be critical in supporting programs and initiatives aimed at creating higher quality, more equitable and inclusive early childhood programs, with a focus on kindergarten.

**Responsibilities include**:
As the Principal Program Officer, you will
- Support the implementation of a variety of programs, projects and initiatives for the kindergarten sector
- Prepare communications for a range of audiences, including briefing materials
- Engage in critical thinking and problem solving to achieve positive outcomes
- Demonstrate accountability for the management of key initiatives through professionalism, persistence and transparency.
- Teaching experience in the early years;
- Deep understanding of kindergarten contexts across Queensland;
- Expert knowledge and practical experience with the Queensland kindergarten learning guideline and the Early Years Learning Framework V 2.0;
- Experience in task management, project scheduling and working to deadlines;
- Experience in building strong relationships and collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders; and
- Availability to undertake travel throughout Queensland
