CNC Laser Operator

Roar Metalworks are currently seeking a skilled Laser CNC Operator to join our sheet metal fabrication team at our Derrimut site.

As a Laser CNC Operator, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of computer numeric control (CNC) laser cutting machines to produce high-quality industrial components. This position requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. You will be solution focused, have a solid work ethic and operate from a position of honesty and integrity.

**Responsibilities**: - Set up and prepare CNC laser cutting machines for operation. - Read and interpret technical drawings and text document communications orders. - Perform pre-production inspections to ensure machines are calibrated correctly Load and unload materials onto laser cutting machines. - Operating / driving of fork lifts - Monitor and adjust machine settings during production to ensure optimal quality and efficiency. - Conduct regular maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure their longevity. - Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the production process. - Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and meet customer deadlines.

**Requirements**: - High school diploma or equivalent - Ability to work independently - Good verbal communication skills - Ability to perform repetitive work. - Proven experience operating CNC laser cutting machines. - Knowledge of machine programming and software (Draftsight, SolidWorks, crypnest). - A deep understanding of laser cutting techniques and principles. - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

You have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills and good general knowledge of workplace safety law and procedures. You are confident in driving fork lifts and working to pace, with production deadlines always top of mind.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

- CNC laser cutting: 1 year (required)
