**What you'll be doing**

The Manager Service Planning plays a pivotal role in helping the District shape its strategic and service directions. The role provides leadership and direction to the Planning team in supporting the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of strategic, service and operational planning across the District, as directed by the Director Planning, Information and Performance.

The role leads and contributes to development of District-wide strategy in partnership with service and program leaders and the District’s Executive.

The role is also responsible for coordinating a number of annual processes that include, but are not limited to, Capital Investment Proposals, the Annual Operational Plan, and the Annual Role Delineation Review.

**Talent Pool**

Selection Criteria
- Extensive experience in the development of organisational and service strategies, plans and business cases in a health care or related setting.
- Strong conceptual understanding of data about health service need/demand and capacity/supply, and the ability to develop robust projection and scenario modelling methodologies.
- Sound understanding of contemporary Commonwealth and State-wide directions in health services reform, policy, planning, funding and delivery, and demonstrated ability to translate and progress strategic priorities through facilitation of planning processes.
- Developed and proven project management skills and demonstrated ability to lead, coordinate and manage individuals and teams in a complex and often conflicting work environment to produce desired outcomes.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Management and/or Health Leadership and/or equivalent industry experience in health management or health service planning.
- Proven ability to design, develop, and implement consultation mechanisms with internal and external stakeholders, communities and community-led organisations.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skills, with demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate outcomes.
