**Cafe Manager role based at Retirement Living at Galston**:

We're looking for an experienced Cafe Manager with a passion for Hospitality and excellent customer service, who can pave the way to success and will thrive in this role
**Responsibilities of a Cafe Manager would be, but not limited to**:
- Lead the day-to-day operational management of all Café and Functions activities
- Ensure food ordering and presentation consistently meet customer expectations, offering a variety of tasty, nutritious, and high-quality food.
- Monitor and continuously improve food service standards and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Village Manager to implement a marketing and special events plan to drive patronage.
- Ensure all standards, operating policies, and procedures are met consistently.
- Regularly review catering equipment, cutlery/crockery, fittings, furnishings, transport, and other infrastructure to ensure they are fit for purpose, raising any risks or opportunities for improvement in a timely and constructive manner.
- Conduct regular team meetings and cultivate a high-performance culture.
- Ensure staff are properly onboarded, understand their roles, and have the necessary training and equipment.
- Promote a customer service culture where customers are central to decision-making and service design.
- Oversee food operations, including food safety, production and service, ordering, cost and quality control, and overall management.
- Establish effective communication forums to strengthen internal and external stakeholder relationships.
**Skills and Experience required**:
- Current knowledge of Food Handling Legislative including HACCP requirements.
- Experience in leading and managing catering operations.Experience in leading and motivating teams, managing performance and employee wellbeing, and delivering on accountabilities.
- Diploma in Hospitality Management. (preferable)Experience in caring for the aged within a residential setting.

- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Right to work in Australia.
- It is a mandatory requirement for a team member working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid RSL LifeCare Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of the role. Clearances must be verified prior to commencing employment with RSL LifeCare._
