**About the role**:
With your love of delicious fresh food, coupled with your agronomy background you will be at the forefront of innovative ideas from farm through to customer.

You’ll also:

- Build and support an industry leading team including graduates, field-based agronomy team, produce technologists and produce developers. Developing succession planning and transformational leadership.
- Directly engage with farmers and producers to deliver exemplary quality produce.
- Promote collaboration, define and share best practise to the delivery of Coles Brand strategy.
- Execute the strategic plan for the produce portfolio that delivers on the Coles Brand guard rails (taste, quality, range and price) and aligns with the category strategy
- Work closely with the Commercial and QA team to deliver products that meet our customers’ needs from a quality and price perspective
- Identify new opportunities within the categories, driving differentiation for Coles Brand
- Work cross-functionally with numerous internal teams and build a strong relationship with the Centres of Excellence
- Build a strong external industry network to ensure that Coles is at the forefront of industry trends and changes.

**About you and your skills**:
In this role you will have genuine impact in the work you will do. You will have the ability to make this role your own. You will also have:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Science or a similar discipline
- Relevant industry experience, a Food Technical/ Agronomy background is preferred
- Proven ability to deliver transformational change
- Experience developing commercial plans to launch and manage products within the Produce portfolio
- Experience developing price and promotional plans for products, delivering commercial outcomes and brand equity
- Demonstrated brand management experience, including leading innovation in product development
- Experience leading and developing high performing teams
- Experience launching new products and managing these projects to achieve both brand and commercial outcomes
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to influence both internal and external stakeholders
