**About the opportunity**

As a Medical Advisor, you’ll work closely with the Medical Director to strengthen clinical leadership and governance across our HIAS (nurse triage) and GP helplines. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our services are safe, clinically sound, and continuously improving. Your expertise will help drive quality initiatives, support innovation, and engage with key stakeholders to deliver trusted health advice to Australians, wherever and whenever they need it.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and support clinical governance, quality audits, and incident reviews
- Analyse clinical performance and drive continuous improvement
- Provide clinical input into service design and operational protocols
- Support safe innovation in digital health and telehealth services
- Represent Healthdirect in clinical forums and sector initiatives

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Current registration as a medical practitioner with AHPRA
- At least 4 years’ recent clinical practice, including 3 years in Australia
- Experience in clinical governance, quality improvement, and incident management
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Understanding of Australian health services; digital health/telehealth experience desirable
