General Manager- Politix

The role

The purpose of this role is to lead the Politix brand including brand strategy, design and product development, merchandise planning, marketing, digital, visual merchandising, production, sourcing & store operations.

An integral part of this role is bringing teams together, confidently directing, nurturing and inspiring people to continually evolve how we do things to build Brand equity and design exceptional customer experiences.

Reporting to the Group CEO, this role leads 5 direct reports including Head of Design, Head of Planning, Head of Marketing, Head of Digital, Head of Retail & Visual Merchandise. This role partners with group functions including Digital, Sourcing & Supply Chain, People, Finance, Real Estate Development and IT to achieve Brand strategy and results.

Key responsibilities will include;
- Develop and define the brand vision, strategy and business plan to build a profitable, sustainable Brand
- Learn and develop thorough understanding of the design aesthetic and look and feel of the Politix brand
- Ensure product and service experience are of a quality and value that meets the needs of the Politix customer
- Oversee the design/creative and visual brand strategy
- Develop the merchandise and planning strategy for the brand position in the market including range, pricing architecture and presentation
- Leverage marketing strategy and initiatives to engage consumers’ hearts and minds, and build the business.
- Oversee retail operations and VM to provide customers with a world class retail experience
- Leverage and grow digital capabilities to develop an omni-channel customer experience
- Deliver the brand financial and strategic targets
- Provide leadership, vision and inspiration for the brand
- Lead a high performance culture that inspires growth and develop an environment that allows succession planning, growth and development
- Experience building a Brand in either a Brand Leadership Team or general management role.
- Strong business acumen with a highly commercial mind that identifies opportunities and makes possibilities realities.
- Experienced leader of large teams with proven track record in leading a high performance culture, leading change and working horizontally with group partners.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
