**What you will do As our Principal Project Officer, you will**:

- Lead, manage, and implement projects and processes that analyse complex agricultural resource management and land use planning and policy matters, identify relevant issues, and formulate innovative solutions
- Advocate for agricultural interests in state-wide and regional land use planning mechanisms and coordinate statutory development approval assessments for resource activities proposed in areas of regional interest.
- Provide advice to senior departmental officers, the Minister and industry stakeholders concerning impacts to agriculture resulting from resource and energy reform processes.
- Prepare departmental and whole-of-government policy papers, submissions, reports, briefs and file notes on complex agricultural, resource and infrastructure matters.
- Engage with stakeholders, including resource and infrastructure proponents, on complex and potentially contentious issues which impact agriculture.
- Coordinate and manage workflows to deliver projects or tasks within established timeframes.

- Advanced project management skills
- High level analytic, conceptual, organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively provide authoritative advice using effective oral and written communication skills

You may also have
- A relevant tertiary qualification is highly desirable.
