Sheet Metal Worker

Hedweld is seeking a Sheet Metal Worker to join our high-performing team at our **Mt Thorley site.** The position would be ideal for someone with experience in a manufacturing environment. A hands-on role, reporting to the Production Supervisor. We are seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking team player.

**Core Skills and Responsibilities**:

- Analyses work orders and blueprints to determine information such as material to be used, type of operations, and sequence of operations required
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
- Performs general fabrication, machining, assembly, and repair work in a timely manner
- Ensures all work performed is to specification
- Comply with company business system requirements such as Safety, Quality, Business management systems, schedules and production documentation
- Effectively liaise with other team members to ensure all related operations functions smoothly
- Ensures housekeeping is of a high standard including maintenance of tools and machinery
- Trade Qualification
- Brake & Pan Brake press operation experience (CNC)
- MIG & TIG (aluminium and Stainless steel) welding experience
- Mechanical aptitude
- Able to work effectively both as part of a team or autonomously
- A current driver’s license
- Forklift License (preferred)
- Overhead Crane Competency (preferred)
