**Description**:
The opportunity.
This permanent position directly supports our purpose and ensures our members can count on us providing the right products and services to meet their home loan and mortgage needs, whilst initiating and nurturing consultative relationships, providing excellent service within a timely manner and meeting delegation and compliance obligations. This role is ‘mobile’, and whilst time will be spent with the frontline at branches, our proposition to members is to meet at their time at a place of their convenience.
**This specialist position is accountable for**:
Acquiring and developing business, building consultative relationships and delivering outstanding member service to meet members’ home loan and other financial needs and timelines.
Proactively coaching and working collaboratively with branch staff, networks and partners to leverage referral business.
Achieving agreed performance goals, targets and SLAs. This includes but is not limited to funding targets, member satisfaction and quality of deal submission.
Proactively managing your WIP to ensure high levels of conversion from enquiry through to settlement.
Maintaining contact with members post settlement to assist with ongoing lending needs and maximise retention via strong service provided.
Identifying an acceptable level of lending risk, within approved delegation and pricing parameters and in line with Defence Bank’s risk appetite.
Be and advocate for and promote Defence Bank by building relationships within Defence Community, Defence Industry Partners, and within the broader community to grow and build awareness of our service offerings and grow our member base and product portfolios.
Supporting the business to meet strategic initiatives and ad hoc requests as needed.
**Skills and Experiences**:
About you.
You’re passionate about delivering outstanding service while seeking opportunities to meet and exceed sales targets, and thrive on the challenge of growing a sustainable business.
**To be successful in this position, you will have**:
At least two years’ home lending experience
At least two years’ experience in a proactive ‘hunting’ sales environment building relationships through needs based conversations.
Vocational Qualification in financial services is desirable
A Tier 2 qualification is preferred but not required.
Valid Australian Motor Vehicle Drivers Licence.
**Demonstrated experience or skills in**:
Lending, credit and regulatory acumen for appropriate decision making.
Building effective collaborative and coaching working relationships with stakeholders at all levels and ability to negotiate and manage conflict.
Motivated to meet and exceeding sales targets and work autonomously, remotely and flexibly to manage territory.
Facilitating presentations to small and large groups.
Attention to detail and effective in analysing and interpreting data and problem solving.
Effective time management and ability to manage and prioritise work and schedule.
