We have an opportunity for an experienced AOD Clinician to join our team located in Nar Nar Goon South on a permanent full-time basis and will require someone who enjoys working onsite. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to further develop their knowledge and skills in AOD to make a meaningful contribution within a purposeful organisation.

**The Role**:
The AOD Clinician is responsible for providing opportunities for residents to identify and address risk taking behavioural patterns and develop lifestyles of self-determined purpose. Reporting to a Senior AOD Clinician, the AOD Clinician provides case management to a caseload of residents that includes individual and group interventions and supports the resident to meet the goals of their individual treatment plans through appropriate referrals to other agencies. The AOD Clinician works collegially with all staff (team leaders, Support Workers and Peer Workers and Work Program Staff) to ensure that residents receive the full benefits of the program and that most residents can complete the full program and graduate.

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- Proven experience conducting assessments, case management and development of client-centred treatment plans with clients with complex needs.
- Minimum of two years' experience working within the alcohol and drug sector, mental health or other primary health care environment with an understanding of AOD service navigation
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport, negotiate and facilitate client outcomes and resolve conflict
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Youth Work, Mental Health or other similar health-discipline
- Certificate IV in AOD or 4 AOD core competencies (if obtained a diploma degree or higher), or willingness to complete studies during employment
