**Your new role**:
This position is located within the ATM Consolidated Contract team, our mission is to provide continuing support to S&CSPO and their suite of ATM systems which includes; FTACAN, DTACAN, AMACCS, TVSS platforms and ATCOM services. System sites are geographically dispersed across Australia, owned, operated and maintained by the RAAF and BAE System personnel which makes for a complex and interesting role.
The Tower Visual Simulator Suite (TVSS) Sustainment Lead is responsible for supporting the Project Engineering Manager with the technical scope of the TVSS platform. You will communicate directly with the TVSS subcontractor and broader project engineering team to ensure contracted engineering services are delivered to meet project performance in terms of schedule and budget as well as operational mission needs.

**You will**:

- Design and develop solutions to a limited range of engineering situations, problems and issues within the scope of Consolidated Contract. Obtain confirmation beyond reasonable doubt by review, surveillance and audit that those assumptions, underpinning engineering data, analysis methodologies, and interpretation of results have been validated.
- Lead Configuration Control Board reviews with the customer and Subcontractor, addressing issues, actions, questions as required through to the delivery of the technical solution to the customer
- Deal with Issues emerging from all product lifecycle stages
- Independently review peers' work as required, identify technical risks and unknowns and support planning activities
- Support the Service Centre and supply chain as required (e.g. equivalency analysis, material sourcing, kit lists, goods inspection, procurement)
- Develop estimations and documentation for not to exceed (NTE)/S&Qs/Minor Bids
- Provide support for customer reporting as and when required - update partner portal - attend customer teleconference
- Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders as required ensuring that their requirements are adequately supported and that their needs are fully considered and incorporated where appropriate and agreed.

**About you**:
**As an applicant for this opportunity, you'll have**:

- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in software, electrical, electronic or mechatronic engineering
- Technical project management skill set
- Exposure to software and how it works
- Demonstrated team leadership experience
- A good understanding and experience in effective use of engineering process, lifecycles, methods, tools and infrastructure
- A good understanding of 'Best Practice' engineering processes, methods and tools
- Ability to lead small to medium sized multi-disciplinary engineering teams
- Demonstrated good communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with employees and customers at all levels
- Proven ability to function confidently within a project team environment
- Demonstrated self-motivation with a proactive approach to progressing all assigned tasks and solve problems associated with them
