**About the role**
**Main tasks**:The primary responsibility of this role is to identify and introduce new technologies and products to gain market share in the paint and coatings sector.

**Other tasks**:

- **Research **market opportunities and present recommendations back to the board
- **Collaborate **closely with internal marketing, sales, procurement and operations teams
- **Conduct** thorough quality control testing on products throughout the production stages
- **Establish** trial projects to produce new products or improve existing product lines
- **Contribute** to building a product roadmap for strategic product development
- **Test **and plan the development of new products, ensuring adherence to quality standards
- **Prepare** reports summarising findings and results
- **Co-ordinate **with key suppliers as required
- **Manage** new trials, following required steps and process documentation
- **Review** and improve the effectiveness of the management system implementation
- **Monitor** internal and external risks, stakeholders' needs and expectations, and take necessary actions.

- Proven experience in developing & commercialising new products
- Completed at least undergraduate education in science, chemistry, chemical engineering, or similar
- Significant industrial chemistry or surface coating experience
- A valid Australian driver's licence

**You will be highly regarded if you also have**:

- Experience working on a global scale or collaborating with international teams
- Familiarity with regulatory standards applicable to the industry
- Knowledge of quality, health, safety, & environment (QHSE) management systems.
