We're looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented **Product Design Engineer** who’s just as comfortable on CAD as they are on the production floor. This role is perfect for someone who can **create precise, functional product designs** and also operate **basic production machines** to bring those designs to life.

You'll be joining a growing team specialising in **custom automotive accessories**, where precision, fitment, and material optimisation matter just as much as creativity.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Design and update detailed product drawings using CAD
- Customise product templates to meet vehicle-specific requirements and customer specifications
- Operate and maintain basic machinery and tools involved in the production process
- Conduct fitment checks and make ongoing improvements to product accuracy across vehicle models
- Evaluate and recommend raw materials based on performance, durability, and safety
- Optimise material usage and production layout to maximise output and reduce waste
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient and safe daily operations
- Assist in resolving product-related issues through root cause analysis and design revision
- Forecast raw material needs and coordinate stock levels accordingly

**What We’re Looking For**
- Proven experience using CAD software for product design (essential)
- Comfortable with hands-on machine operation in a workshop or warehouse setting
- Solid understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and design standards
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communicator and team collaborator, especially with operations staff
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and balance speed with quality

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
