**About Us**:
Pearson Allied Health Services is a registered provider with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). We specialise in providing allied health and mentoring services to children, young people and adults with disabilities. Offering a flexible service, sessions can take place in our office, our community house, our farm, or within the community. Our goal is to provide a truly person centred service while working within a trans-disciplinary team. Our speciality is the provision of animal assistive services. PAHS is a child safe workplace.

**The Position**
We are currently seeking experienced staff who are passionate about working with people with disabilities and empowering them to live the highest quality life. We have multiple vacancies in our Mentoring Program for both children and adults, and are particularly looking for staff to join our 24/7 Supported Independent Living (SIL) houses, including roles supporting clients living with dementia.

We are especially interested in individuals who are available for passive overnight supports and comfortable working in a team environment providing consistent, high-quality care.

We have multiple roles available:
Mentoring Role / Allied Health Assistant Role:

- Providing mentoring services to clients in their home, school or day program facility, or in the community (this may include transporting clients in your personal vehicle)
- Implementing therapy developed programs and updating therapists on progress
- Assisting with group programs
- Completing shift notes

Support Worker (Level 2):

- Supporting clients in supported accommodation, including 24/7 SIL homes
- Supporting clients in day options or other daytime programs
- Providing care for clients with dementia
- Working individually with clients in the community, including personal care and medication administration
- Being part of a multidisciplinary team supporting clients to maintain independence and quality of life

**Selection Criteria**
- Currently studying allied health, nursing, education, or a similar degree
- Certificate III or IV in Disabilities or Individual Support
- Certificate III in Aged Care
- Certificate in Allied Health Assistance (AHA)
- Background in aged care and/or experience supporting individuals with dementia
- Passion and interest for mentoring people with disabilities
- Good written and verbal communication skills

**Minimum Requirements**
- Certificate III or IV in Disabilities or Individual Support
- “Through their Eyes” Child Safe Environments training certificate
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Working with Children Check
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid South Australia Driver’s Licence
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- NDIS New Worker Induction Module
- NDIS Supporting Safe and Enjoyable Meals
- NDIS Supporting Effective Communication
- First Aid and CPR

**Knowledge**:

- Understanding of child safety legislation and requirements

- Awareness of Disability Service Standards and related legislation
