About the Role:
As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the procurement process, from developing strategic plans to contract management. Your responsibilities will include establishing procurement strategies, sourcing and negotiating commercial agreements, overseeing tendering processes, and managing ongoing contracts. Working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, you will collaborate with key business stakeholders, providing expert guidance to achieve optimal delivery and cost outcomes. This is a permanent, hybrid / flexible role.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to develop procurement plans and optimise supplier utilisation to meet strategic spend requirements.- Drive strategic sourcing activities, including negotiation and contracting, within your portfolio by fostering strong partnerships with key business stakeholders.- Provide leadership and expert advice on procurement and contract management to business stakeholders, cultivating key supplier relationships, and offering support in resolving supplier-related issues.- Monitor material and strategic supplier spend, as well as market activity within your portfolio, and effectively communicate key insights and opportunities to the Strategic Procurement team and business stakeholders.
What You'll Bring to the Table:
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, including exceptional written and presentation abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to develop viable business cases.- Extensive experience in developing and managing medium to large-scale sourcing functions and contract negotiations.- Proven ability to excel in a complex, political matrix management environment.- Inherent ability to use effective negotiating and influencing skills in a consultative and constructive manner.- Demonstrated success in delivering superior outcomes in managing relationships with large vendors.- Ability to develop and communicate complex Sourcing and Negotiation Strategies to stakeholders effectively.
