We currently have an opportunity for a self-motivated Control Systems Technician. You will join our Control Systems Engineering team to deliver great outcomes to our clients and provide peace of mind with rapid response support for critical industrial automation and control equipment.

**Your Role**

You will be involved in a wide range of projects providing office and site based control system and electrical engineering support, whilst being a key customer interface.

You will have demonstrated experience with onsite commissioning and troubleshooting of PLC controlled electrical equipment and variable speed drives. You will be key to the success of many projects and involve working with both internal and external customers, so it is essential that you have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, as well as proven problem solving skills.

As a Control System Technician at NEPEAN Power your regular day to day will see you play a vital role in managing key site service orientated projects. The right person will have;
- Proven experience in commissioning and breakdown support of electrical equipment.
- Advanced skills in fault finding and interpreting electrical design documentation
- Moderate to developing skills in control system development and industrial networking
- Outstanding time management, organisation, and small project management
- Willingness and enthusiasm for a blend of office, workshop, and site work

**Key Requirements**:

- Electrical Trade Certificate/Licence or equivalent
- Tertiary Electrical Engineering, PLC, Instrumentation qualifications will be an advantage.
- Australian drivers’ licence
- Must have the right to work in Australia.

**Capabilities and Experience**:

- Experience in using PLC & SCADA Software (in Particular Rockwell, GE, Citect)
- Extensive industrial controls experience including installation, testing and fault finding.
- Experience in Fault finding and Commissioning of VSD's (Variable Speed Drives)
- Hazardous Area Electrical experience (including EEHA competency) will be an advantage.
