**The Position**

Location: Eastern Australia

Key responsibilities;
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive safety program to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and correct potential hazards
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and contractors
- Collaborate with department managers to ensure safety is integrated into all business processes and procedures
- Stay current with regulations, industry best practices, and new technologies related to workplace safety
- Maintain accurate records of safety-related activities and incidents, and report findings to senior management

**About You**
- Proven experience in a safety management role, with a strong understanding of safety regulations
- Ability to analyze and solve complex safety-related problems
- Strong project management and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders

**Good to Know**

As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.

Prior to offer you’ll complete a pre-employment police and medical.
