**Security Officer**
**Corrective Services Academy**
- Location - Corrective Services Academy, Eastwood
- Employment type - Ongoing
- Salary - $1095.03 per week plus superannuation and leave loading

**Your role**
- As a Security Officer you will provide a range of security services to safeguard the Academy’s assets (including buildings and grounds) and provide an after-hours contact for contractors, staff and visitors to the site.

**What you’ll do**
- Provide security to buildings through the setting and monitoring of alarms after normal working hours and patrolling the grounds and buildings during each shift to maintain a deterrent for intruders
- Maintain a close working relationship with local police and other emergency services to ensure adequate emergency support, security of residents / visitors / staff and surveillance / protection of the Academy grounds / property
- Respond to after-hours security or fire alarms ensuring that the safety of people is a priority and, in the event of fire or other emergencies, that adherence to evacuation procedures is followed
- Respond to emergency after hours maintenance issues and arrange for the relevant tradesperson to effect repairs as per emergency protocols
- Coordinate and manage the periodic inspection, servicing and testing of electronic alarm systems
- Provide an after-hours point of contact for visitors, clients, emergencies and weekend activities
- Undertake banking as required, ensuring the security of all cash and other valuables whilst in transit.

**Essential Skills and Experience**
- Current 1A Security Licence
- First Aid Certificate
- Appropriate Driver Licence
