**As our highly valued Global Investment Commissioner, you will contribute to ensuring a bright future for Queensland, Australia and our global partners. You will do this with people who want you to grow and progress.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will provide effective leadership, management and strategic direction of TIQ's global work to attract international investment opportunities to QLD. Your leadership will increase TIQ's contribution and impact to attracting international investment to Queensland.

You will lead a local and international team to provide a strong focus to increase investment attraction that supports the strengthening and diversification of the QLD economy by:
Championing 'Team QLD' overseas to attract international investment and firms and build a pipeline of international investment opportunities.
Pitching significant, catalytic QLD opportunities to targeted international investors.
Assisting entrepreneurs and established businesses to attract global capital to grow and scale.
Fostering strategic relationships with international investment stakeholders to build QLD's commercial reputation.

This role will also provide strategic functional leadership to TIQ's domestic and international networks in relation to investment, lead key groups and work collaboratively with the Australian and local governments to ensure there is an environment for international investment to thrive in QLD. You will be a natural collaborator who is able to work effectively within TIQ, across government and with private sector investors to maximise QLD's success in obtaining new international investment.

Based in Brisbane, QLD, here's what your role will involve:
Lead the strategic investments attraction for QLD, while providing leadership in the delivery of significant investment opportunities and projects aligned to the QLD governments priorities.
Oversee the implementation of key investment attraction initiatives, which showcases international investment opportunities and makes readily accessible information about how the government can assist investors.
Take a holistic perspective on key strategic issues faced by the organisation to develop a strategic international investment plan and operating model that facilitates collaboration across government agencies.
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop networks at the state, national and international level, while strengthening investment attraction to maximise the organisation's collective impact.
Lead the implementation of an operating model for investment in TIQ that enables strong performance and successful management of our investment pipeline.
Lead and manage a highly engaged, capable workforce in contributing effectively to the investment plan, TIQ's vision and strategic objectives, while fostering a culture of collaboration within a high performing, high quality, outcomes-focused project environment.
