**About the role**

Reporting operationally to the Campus Manager and working closely with the undergraduate Music & Audio Course Director, you will deliver classes, engage in assessment and marking processes, and contribute to curriculum design and pedagogy in online and blended learning environments.

You will also promote the achievements of SAE, its students, and staff and build relationships to further promote the Institute's programs within the wider professional community. This is a collegial role that is important in shaping and developing the curriculum and academic direction for SAE at campus and national levels.

**The person we seek will ideally have the following**:

- A doctorate or master’s qualification in Music preferred;
- A high level of professional industry practice in contemporary music with a focus on songwriting and/or screen composition
- Demonstrated understanding of contemporary songwriting practices & contemporary music theory;
- Awareness of contemporary music industry frameworks & processes
- Proficiency in standard industry software used in songwriting and music production
- An excellent record of tertiary teaching experience as a tutor, lecturer and unit coordinator;
- Curriculum review and curriculum development experience in undergraduate programs and/or postgraduate coursework;
- Passion to assist students reach their full academic potential while providing an outstanding student experience;
- Outstanding organisational and communication skills;
- High level of agile critical thinking and problem-solving ability;
- Ability to build effective working relationships at all levels in the organisation;
- Cultural awareness;
- Commitment to continuous improvement.
