**About the Role**:
Reporting to the NPI Engineering Projects - Lead Supervisor, the Project Supervisor provides support to the Superintendent Modifications & Small Projects and Project Engineers through the provision of field supervision, planning, quality management, coordination, and construction management. \\

As the Projects Supervisor, you will spend 75% of your time in the field with contractors, monitoring, auditing, supervising and influencing work activities.

This role provides a flexible roster, working an 8:6 rotation from numerous locations across our Non-Processing Infrastructure (NPI) assets. This includes Operations, Port, Rail, Villages and power station Workfronts.

Responsibilities include:

- Demonstrates an overriding commitment to BHPIO Sustainability culture;
- Ongoing commitment to Zero Harm through Field Leadership;
- Review and endorsement Risk Assessments and Critical Control Verifications to ensure quallity;
- Co-ordinate the contractor site mobilisation process in compliance with the Pre-mobilisation checklist;
- Day‐to‐day on‐site supervision of contractor and sub‐contractor groups to ensure that technical and quality standards are achieved safely (ITPs, MDR
- Compilation);
- Coordinate with other Site Supervisors and Operational/Maintenance personnel to manage impact on other site activities and minimise impacts on the supply chain;
- Enage and liaise with Project Engineers and Engineering to resolve technical queries/ design inconsistencies;
- Ensure compliance with the requirements of the WHS Legislation through the Work health and safety Act.

**About You**:

- Demonstrated field leadership experience or post‐trade qualification in construction related discipline;
- Licensed electrician desirable where construction related discipline is electrical;
- Strong communication and engagement skills with a range of audiences;
- Strong HSEC leadership;
- Ability to issue clear directions to construction workers;
- Negotiation Skills and ability to resolve disputes;
- Ability to build positive and sustaining relationships;
- Ability to identify and prevent key project risks;
- Experience in the construction / heavy engineering / mining sectors with proven experience in the administration and supervision of contracts and contractors is desirable.
