**Automotive Apprenticeships Available**:
The following automotive apprenticeships are available through the MTA:

- Motor Mechanic - Light Vehicle Mechanical Technician
- Diesel Mechanic - Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technician
- Automotive Sales - Automotive Parts Interpreter
- Spray Painter - Automotive Refinishing Technician
- Panel Beater - Vehicle Body Repair Technician
- Auto Electrician - Automotive Electrical Technician
- Agricultural Mechanical Technician
- Mobile Plant Diesel Technician

Training is conducted in person at the MTA’s Training and Employment Centre in either Royal Park (Adelaide), Cleve and Bordertown.

We also offer apprenticeships in marine, motorcycle repair, automotive heavy diesel fuel and outdoor power equipment delivered by an external Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

**About you**

Essential:

- An Australian citizen/and or Permanent Resident
- Currently living in South Australia
- 16 years old or above
- In Year 11 or higher
- Willing to commit to a 4-year apprenticeship (completely paid for by MTA)
- Drivers License
- full-time apprentices must have P Plates & school-based apprentices must have L’s
- Passionate about automotive
- Positive attitude

Desirable, but NOT essential:

- Have completed a Certificate I or II in Automotive
- Previously worked with hand/power tools
- Have work experience in the automotive industry

**About the Role**

Work on Audi, BMW, Genesis, Kia, Hyundai, John Deer, Case, New Holland machinery and vehicles, and much more
- You will attend automotive training at one of MTA’s state-of-the-art training centres to gain hands-on, practical skills and knowledge from industry leading Trainers
- Work and earn a wage at a supportive Host Employer (the MTA will find you a suitable Host Employer)
