**The Opportunity**
James Hardie is on the hunt for an aspiring 3rd or 4th year Electrical apprentice looking for an Electrical apprenticeship to join our Carole Park maintenance team.

This is an excellent opportunity to learn in a hands-on fast paced manufacturing environment with the support of an experienced and supportive team. This role will accelerate your learning and development and expose you to significant electrical projects in the plant.

**Responsibilities**
- Undertake electrical maintenance activities to best ensure the long-term reliability of electrical equipment and control systems.
- Ensure that best practice maintenance and engineering standards are rigorously applied to tasks and projects that you work on.
- Assist with day-to-day electrical equipment issues
- Troubleshoot and fault find various electrical equipment issues onsite to provide short machine downtime.
- Liaising and working closely with planning and stores personnel to ensure that parts and equipment are available when required to avoid delay and improve task execution.
- Working with production and finishing teams to improve communication and interaction between operators and maintenance / engineering personnel.
- Driving continuous improvement in the maintenance department through a commitment to training and development, precision maintenance and a ‘closed loop’ approach.
- Report any incidents, hazards, near misses or “at-risk” behaviors in a timely fashion
- Drive a safe behavioural culture and ensure safety compliance for all maintenance tasks.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong troubleshooting and strong analytical skills
- Enrolled and completing Cert. III in Electrotechnology (Electrician’s Course).
