**About the role**:
Are you passionate about the marine industry and have a keen eye for detail? Do you enjoy working outdoors and take pride in making things shine? Chapman Marine Group is seeking a dedicated Boat Detailer & Yard Hand to join our vibrant team at Sydney Boathouse located in Rozelle.

**What You'll Do**:

- Clean, polish, and maintain the exterior and interior of powerboats and motor yachts to ensure they look pristine and operate smoothly.
- Prepare new boats for handover to clients, ensuring all vessels are immaculately maintained and ready for delivery.
- Assist with on-water boat tests to ensure boats are functioning correctly and meet quality standards.
- Prepare boats for customer viewings, and inspections, and ensure they are ready for launch.
- Conduct regular wash-downs, teak treatments, and stainless-steel polishing to keep boats in pristine condition.
- Assist with general upkeep and organization of the marina and yard, including handling equipment, tools, and supplies
- Maintaining records of yard movements and stock boat inventory movements.
- Adhere to safety protocols and best practices while working in the yard and handling boats.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- A genuine interest in marine vessels and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
- Sound understanding of vessels, vessel construction, and maintenance practices.
- Basic maintenance skills and experience with hand and power tools.
- Awareness of workplace safety, health, quality, and environmental standards.
- An eye for detail with the ability to deliver immaculate results.
- Ability to handle physical tasks and work in varying weather conditions.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with others in a collaborative environment.
- Dependable and consistently punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, good general computer knowledge.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Previous experience in boat detailing or yard work is a plus but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.
- A current boat license is preferred but not essential. A current driver’s license is required.
- Australian residency is required.

Pay: $25.83 - $36.65 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week

Schedule:
