Payroll Specialist

**About the role**:
We are currently seeking an experienced, detailed, and well organised **Payroll Specialist **to join our fun, vibrant team in a permanent, full-time position.

Based at our new, modern head office in Rowville and working with a small payroll team, you will be responsible processing Capital S.M.A.R.T.’s payroll of approximately 1,300 employees in an accurate and timely manner. You will also participate in relevant payroll projects as required by the business.

This is a hybrid role with some flexibility between working in the office and from home.

**About you**

If this is the right role for you, your skills and qualifications will include:

- Demonstrated ability and experience in end-to-end processing of payroll data
- Advanced computing skills including Microsoft Office
- Current knowledge of ATO and superannuation guidelines
- Deliver high quality and timely customer service to all staff, helping resolve any payroll queries
- Process weekly and monthly payrolls ensuring accuracy of all entries, funds transfers and compliance to the range of legislative requirements
- Provide reports to the business and external organisations as required, as per legislative and government requirements
- Successful processing of financial year-end
- Provide the calculation of redundancy and termination payments
- Maintain employee information, such as employment changes, transfers, and resignations, to comply with record keeping requirements
- Excellent communication skills
- Be a good team player
- Use of a computerised payroll system or other relevant database (RAMCO would be highly advantageous)
