**Casual Child Care Educators**

Big Fat Smile is currently looking for experienced Educators and Teachers to join the team at Woronora Heights Community Preschool 0-5 on a Casual basis as:

- Certificate III Educator
- Diploma Educator
- Early Childhood Teacher

We are a not for profit, community owned, non government organisation which provides high quality care and education for children, national and state wide inclusion services as part of a National Consortia and operate many community based services to children and families. These include post natal depression groups, transition to school and supported playgroups.

**What you'll do**

Our educators play an integral role in the delivery of high quality early learning programs, services and and care to all Children. You need great communication skills, understanding of children and the ability to work positively as part of a team

**Selection Criteria for Cert III**
- Certificate III in Children's Services
- Minimum of 6 months childcare sector experience
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with children, families and staff
- A good level of physical fitness
- Ability to assist in implementing the centre's program to meet the developmental needs and interests of each child
- Commitment to inclusive practices and child protection
- Understanding of occupational health and safety and the _National Quality Standard_
- Required to have a current Working with Children check issued by the Children's guardian.

**Selection Criteria for Diploma Educators**:

- Diploma of Community Services (Children's Services) or equivalent
- Sound understanding of early childhood theory and curriculum planning for children 0-5 years
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with children and families
- Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously in a team teaching context
- A good level of physical fitness
- Track record of actively contributing to the efficient and effective operation/development of a high quality child care service
- Knowledge of EEO practices, WHS policies and environmental sustainability principles and procedures
- Maintain a valid paid Working with Children Check through the Office of the Children's Guardian
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification
- Identify and Respond to Children at Risk certificate (desirable)
- Commitment to inclusive practices and child protection
- Understanding of occupational health and safety and the National Quality Framework
- Ability to adhere to all Big Fat Smile policies and procedures.

**Selection Criteria for Early Childhood Teachers**:

- 3 of 4 year degree in Early Childhood Education, recognised by ACECQA
- BOSTES/NESA registration
- Outstanding skills in communication with families and the community
- Demonstrated skills in team building and modeling effective early childhood practice
- Demonstrated skills in leadership and management
- Demonstrated thorough working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework
- Evidence of commitment to an inclusive curriculum
- A good level of physical fitness
- Knowledge of EEO practices, WHS policies and Environmental Sustainability principles and procedures and the _National Quality Standard_
- Maintain a valid paid Working with Children Check through the Office of the Children's Guardian
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification
- Identify and Respond to Children at Risk certificate (desirable)
- Commitment to inclusive practices and child protection
- Ability to adhere to all Big Fat Smile policies and procedures
- Evidence from the Australian Immunisation Register that you have received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccination, or a medical contraindication
