**About the Role**:
Join our team as a Midwifery postgraduate student on a part time fixed term basis to work in Monash Health’s, Women’s Program, across one of our Maternity sites.
- The role entails completing a postgraduate diploma in midwifery while gaining practical experience in midwifery care. Postgraduate students will be part of a multidisciplinary team, providing care to women throughout pregnancy, childbirth, the postnatal period, and during home visits. Additionally, they will assist women and babies with complex health issues.
- Receive clinical support facilitated by the midwifery education teams across all sites. Benefit from supernumerary time at the start of the program to ensure you are well-supported during your employment

Successful applicants will work part-time 0.63 EFT fixed term for the duration of the 18-month Graduate Diploma of Midwifery. You will work a rotating roster across all clinical shifts

Our maternity sites are Monash Medical Centre (Clayton), Dandenong Hospital, Casey Hospital, Pakenham Health Centre, and Sandringham Hospital.

**About You**:
You have been developing your clinical skills as a Registered Nurse within an acute setting and are looking to grow your career as a Registered Midwife showing your commitment and passion for Women Centred Care.

To ensure your success in this role you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:

- Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) registration as a Registered Nurse with a current practicing certificate.
- Demonstrated acute nursing experience
- Completion of a Graduate program is desirable with rotations in acute areas.
- Meet the enrolment requirements for Deakin University.
- Outstanding communication and time management skills coupled with delivering holistic women and family centred care
