**The Opportunity**

Austal are seeking an experienced Training and Compliance Coordinator to join our growing team. The coordinator provides support nationally across all Austal Australia sites to a variety of stakeholders in relation to implementation of workforce competency and compliance training activities. They’ll have a focus on working closely with Operational Managers as part of Austal’s operations to ensure workforce competency. This position reports to the Learning & Organisational Development Manager within the People & Culture Function.

**What’s involved**
- Collaborate within and across business departments for a cohesive and consistent operational training and compliance approach aligning Austal learning programs with overall safety and competency standards.
- Build and maintain relationships with partner functions and external stakeholders.
- Maintain records of operational training and compliance activities and participant progress, ensuring control and quality standards are maintained.
- Coordinate operational and compliance training schedules, registrations, logistics, queries and feedback on courses and learning programs.
- Oversee, monitor and maintain training activities purchase and finance receipting, reconciliations and invoicing, proposing cost-effective training initiatives within training budgets.
- Coordinate and action training correspondence.
- Assist with training reports & processes and support system preparation and implementation.
- Assist with L&OD projects to keep up with the latest training methods and techniques to enhance instructional effectiveness.
- Maintain the training calendar covering both mandatory registered and non-registered needs.

**You’ll need**

**Essential**
- Previous experience in a training administration and or/coordination role.
- Interest and focus on safety and compliance.
- Demonstrated track record in planning and scheduling of activities, working towards deadlines with minimum supervision.
- Exceptional attention to details.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills.
- High level of prioritisation and administrative skills and problem solving.
- Familiarity with Learning Management and/or Safety & Compliance Documentation Systems.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, especially operational stakeholders.

**Desirable**
- Experience in a similar L&OD, Training and/or HR generalist coordinator role.
- Business Administration Certificate, and/or equivalent Certificate.
- Experience with online training systems (such as a Learning Management and/or Safety and Compliance System).
- Experience working within a blue
- and white-collar multifaceted business, where you have been responsible for supporting different business units.
