Mackellar is the mining services contractor for Bravus’ Carmichael Mine and together we are creating jobs and opportunities for regional Queensland. Production is in full swing at the mine site located in the Galilee Basin and we’re excited to be building our team

Your new role

We are seeking Tyre Fitters to assist us with Tyre fitting and workshop maintenance tasks at Carmichael Mine located at the Galilee Basin in regional Queensland. Townsville and Rockhampton are our primary recruitment hubs, we are now also offering flights from Mackay and Cairns and encourage and will consider applicants from all regional Queensland communities.
- Rotations, pressure checks, tyre/wheel removal/ fitting and recording tyre usage information
- Be self-motivated and able to work as directed
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and work within teams to develop and implement solutions
- Be committed to adhering to and promoting a strong safety culture.

What you'll need to succeed
- AURKTJ011 Remove, inspect and fit earthmoving and off-the-road tyres
- AURKTJ012 Remove, inspect and fit earthmoving and off-the-road wheel and rim assemblies
- RIIMPO208F Operate support equipment
RIISAM202E Isolate and access plant
RIISAM301F Test operational functions of vehicles and equipment
- Significant experience in fitting heavy earthmoving tyres
- Current Queensland Coal Board Medical (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Standard 11 (or willingness to obtain).
