Job description

Carer’s Network are in search of a **Mental Health Worker **who has impeccable communication skills and a commitment to providing excellence in service.

Our staff have a reputation for being professional and enthusiastic as they provide personal and home care to our clients in their homes in the Glen Huntley area, this includes clients/participants in Ormond, St Kilda, Mentone, Carlton, Box Hill, Noble Park and Narre Warren.

Duties will include:

- Travelling to client’s homes and assist with Community Access and Daily Living
- Providing some house cleaning and shopping
- Maintain open communication and report changes in client’s health status
- Ensure client’s safety & well being

What we want:

- A valid driver’s license
- A confident, client & solutions focused approach to your work
- Ability to work flexible hours
- National Police clearance
- Current and valid first aid and CPR certification

A minimum of Certificate III in the following is desirable but not required
- Certificate in Mental Health
- Individual support
- Home and Community care
- Psychology student Ist year

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

**Salary**: $35.40 - $45.00 per hour

**As it is a requirement of the NDIS, all staff MUST have an NDIS Worker Screen Check to be considered for this role.**

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Penalty rates

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff are required to wear face masks whilst attending with clients and participants.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Glen Huntly VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)
- NDIS Worker Screen Check (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
