**About the Role**

As a Kitchen Hand at Sheldon College, you will play an important role in supporting our busy College kitchen. Key responsibilities include:

- Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, and equipment.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment.
- Assisting with general cleaning and tidying tasks as required.
- Supporting the catering team during daily service and special events.
- Taking on additional shifts for College functions and events when available.

This position offers approximately 13+ hours per fortnight, with opportunities for extra hours during peak periods.

You’re someone who enjoys working in a busy kitchen environment. You’re organised and reliable. You’ll thrive in a team setting but can also work independently to get things done.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Experience working in a kitchen - within a school, childcare, or café environment would be ideal.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- A keen eye for detail, with high standards for presentation, hygiene, and quality.
- A friendly, approachable nature and the ability to build positive relationships with staff, students, and parents.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
