Admissions Officer

**About the role**:
- Admitting patients for surgery
- Checking patients in for clinic appointments
- Admissions department reception
- Surgical, Medical and Pre-Admission Clinic bookings
- Preparation of patient records
- Ad Hoc admin tasks to assist the Peri-operative Admin Department
- Cash handling and receipting of patient payments
**Qualifications and experience**:
- Tertiary qualification in medical or business admin or equivalent; OR
- Min 1 year demonstrated experience in a medical admin role (medical practice or hospital setting)
- Ability to work a rotating roster Monday to Sunday
- Intermediate to advanced MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word Teams)
- Accurate data entry skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast paced work environment
- Strong customer service skills and collaborative team player
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience with medical patient administrative software i.e. Meditech, PAS or similar (desirable)
