We are seeking a skilled Diversity Leader / Instructional Coach to be accountable for leading and learning, through collaboration, instructional leadership, supporting evidence-based practice and a commitment to their own learning.

**A typical day will include**:

- Maintaining safe and inclusive learning environments and implement fair and equitable behaviour management plans
- Work collaboratively to plan and implement school programs with a diversity perspective
- Assist the classroom teacher in identifying and prioritising vulnerable students
- Work collaboratively within the learning space to build the capacity of students to participate and succeed in regular classroom activities
- Overseeing the Personal Planning Process including communication with parents, classroom teachers, students and allied health care professionals.
- Perform a central role in facilitating case management meetings for at risk students
- English Language Acquisition and Development work
- Leads the implementation of the learning framework, agreed pedagogical practice, and school action plan with a focus on literacy and numeracy skills
- Coaches teachers and models agreed practice to support students at the point of need using data and research-informed practice in literacy and numeracy
- Enables teachers to transfer intervention strategies to the local context
- Supports teachers in the use of assessment and developing differentiated and personalised learning opportunities
- Analyses and uses data to assist other leaders and teachers in understanding student and teacher learning needs
- Informs the professional learning and capacity building program of the school
- Contributes to a culture of collaboration and shared responsibility across the school

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Accredited tertiary qualification in education or degree in a specific discipline with a graduate degree in teaching
- Accreditation to teach Religious Education
- Experience in intervention strategies across literacy and/or numeracy such as R3, EMU, TLP
- Demonstrated success in improving student learning outcomes in literacy and numeracy
- Capacity to work with other professionals to improve practice
- Working with Children Check
- Australian resident or citizen
