Complex Disability Support Worker

iVirtus Care is undergoing a recruitment drive in response to industry demand for Complex Disability Support Workers with experience across Psychosocial/ Mental Health conditions, Autism, Epilepsy Management, Intellectual Disability Acquired Brain Injury, and other neurological physical disabilities.

Currently recruiting for several vacancies across many locations in and around South - Western Sydney, NSW. All roles recruited for an **IMMEDIATE START **and must be available for afternoon shifts as well as day shifts.

Our team is seeking experienced and highly passionate and committed disability support workers that are not only participant centric, but are also goal driven, self-motivated, proactive, and driven to contribute positively and compassionately to the care and supports of others to optimise quality of life.

** NURSES ARE INVITED TO APPLY** **we have complex disability roles for you that require Enrolled Nurse support and care (pay grades negotiable pending on qualifications and experience).

**As a successful applicant you MUST have the following as a minimum requirement.**
- Valid Driver’s License & your own road safe vehicle
- Valid National Police Check
- Valid Working with Children check
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- NDIS Workers Screening Clearance
- Minimum of Certificate IV/ Diploma in Disability Support, Aged Care support, Community Services or Nursing qualifications
- Mental Health Qualifications + minimum 2yrs actively working within Mental Health Disability Support or behavioural support capacity
- All updated NDIS certifications as per NDIS Quality and Safeguards website

As a Disability Support Worker your duties may vary pending on the care needs of the participant. Your duties & responsibilities can include but are not limited to,
- **LOW LEVEL CARE**_
- Personal Care & Grooming - Showering, grooming, and attending to all needs that optimise all personal hygiene
- Meal preparation
- General Domestic Assistance
- Community Access & participation
- Medication assistance through prompting and monitoring
- Manual Handling, wheelchair assistance
- **MED - HIGH LEVEL CARE**_
- Medication assistance
- Diabetes Management - Insulin injections, Blood glucose monitoring and management, Diet Management
- Epilepsy/ Seizure Management
- Bowel Care, Catheter care, colostomy care
- Peg /Tube Feeding
- Mental Health management
- Managing Challenging behaviours
- Tracheostomy Care
- Manual Handling using Slings, Lifters, Hoists, pelican belts, slide sheets/ boards

**Currently recruiting multiple vacancies in the following locations.**
- **Greenacre **(Weekday - Afternoon and School holiday shifts available)
- **Punchbowl **(Weekday - spanning across morning, day and afternoon shifts available, some weekend shifts available)
- **Panania** - Mental health complex care (7 days, Afternoon Shifts available)
- **Bexley North **(Weekday - Morning, afternoon and limited active overnight shifts available
- **Chatswood** (24hr active shifts available)

If successful, you will be allocated on-going shifts as part of rotating rosters with on-going career development support. _**Must be available for minimum 2hr shifts.**_ All vacancies are for Casual with the opportunity for Permanent Part Time.

iVirtus Care remunerates in line with the SCHADS awards. Complex disability support pay rates starting at $30.95/ hr - $38.08/hr + Super _(penalties applicable as per award standards) - _To be considered for these opportunities **APPLY NOW**
