Tiling Trainer

Skills Institute Australia is an expanding RTO, which provides high quality training and services to students in business, hospitality, English, automotive and Building and construction courses.

**The Role**

The position is located at Slacks Creek in the south of Brisbane and starts immediately. It is within an academic team providing training and assessing services for RTO students. The Tiling trainer and assessor will undertake general academic duties and reports to the Academic Manager.

**The Person**

The successful applicant will possess Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE), relevant VET business qualifications to deliver and assess **Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling**, and relevant experience; and will be a team player.

**Duties**
- Prepare, deliver & assess units of competency within the specified course offered by the RTO;
- Participate in assessment validation and moderation;
- Assess students’ assignments and assessments;
- Maintain students’ attendance;
- Generate monthly student reports;
- Resource management;
- Comply with the National Code legislation
- Provide general academic support as directed by the Director of Studies.

**Essential Selection Criteria**
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
- Relevant tiling qualification(s) to deliver courses offered by the RTO;
- Relevant experience in the construction industry and CPC training and assessing;
- High level of interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong level of spoken and written English.

- Certified copies of all relevant qualifications including transcripts
- Completed VET qualification mapping document (trainer's matrix)

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
