**The role**
- Reporting to the Tree Crew Team Leader, we are seeking an Assistant Arborist who can bring their skills and experience to:
- assist the tree services team in carrying out tree maintenance works to the specified standard for programmed works.-
- assist with the delivery of all maintenance activities that relate to the role including but not limited to pruning and removal of trees, clipping branches and other horticultural activities.- ensure assigned tasks are carried out within time and a safe manner in accordance with relevant OH&S procedures.
**About you**
- To succeed in this role, you will have:
- certificate 3 Qualification in Arboriculture / Horticulture
- demonstrated experience in the tree industry.
- ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Brimbank City Council is a Child Safe organisation. Brimbank will implement all necessary measures to ensure a safe and supporting Council environment, which endeavours to promote child safe, child friendly practices.
