This FMCG organisation have a range of leading products across several categories manufacturing products for the major supermarkets, food service and export into the Asian market. The organisation are on a global transformation journey.

**The Role**

Reporting directly through to the VP R&D and leading two packaging technologists, you will lead the technical execution and pipeline of savings projects, sustainability projects and led projects from concept to implementation. Your key responsibilities include but not be limited to:

- Develop a stretching multi-year pipeline of Value Engineering opportunity and execute approved cost savings projects.
- Led the team on the ideation of cost savings opportunities for packaging and finished products and processes that improve the value proposition.
- Develop and deliver Packaging Sustainability Plan aligned with National Packaging Recyling Targets (APCO)
- Work collaboratively and cross functionally with Marketing, Manufacturing, Procurement, R&D, Sales to create packaging for new product launches and execute value engineering strategies.

**Your Background**

To be successful in this role, you will have;
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Science, Food Technolgy or related technical field, with demonstrated knowledge of product commercialisation.
- Significant experience working in a Senior Leadership Packaging position within a manufacturing business such ideally Food, Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Personal Care or Packaging industries.
- Solid theoretical knowledge of porduct development, manufacturing process and procedures.
- Innovative and creative problem solver and out of the box thinker.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to liaise with key stakeholders at all levels and cross-funcationally.
