PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
- BGIS Technical Services is specifically created to deliver Planned and Reactive Maintenance solutions across
Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, Building and Fire Services, to a range of existing accounts, initially across NSW,
and then progressively rolled out across the Country.
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on the following Electrical services but not limited to Exit/emergency
lighting, RCD’s, Switchboards including thermal scanning, Auto doors, Earthing, UPS, Airfield lighting and High
Voltage.- Undertake general Electrical works, Preventative maintenance and Reactive Electrical maintenance duties and other
duties that support service delivery as directed and when required;
- Liaise with Facilities Managers to efficiently carry out the tasks and services required of BGIS under the terms of the
Contract;
- Manage daily operations of Electrical Technicians and apprentices where required.
- Full compliance and consistency with the contract and BGIS business systems;
- Comply with all OHS & E policies and procedures as required by BGIS and site-specific requirements.

Operations
- Undertake general Electrical works, planned maintenance and breakdown works when required within scope of qualifications and experience.
- Perform all types of general maintenance. - Complete work orders within the contacted time frame - Mentor and develop apprentices. - Ensure that all works are attended to in a professional and timely manner. - Directing/managing and monitoring sub-contractors as required.
- Assist Electrical technicians as required.
- Participate in on call roster for After Hours Calls.
- Ensure service response with BGIS staff and sub-contractors is compliant with Contract KPI obligations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, codes and standards;
- Ensure full compliance with BGIS business systems, including the Quality Management System (QMS), Occupational Health & Safety System (OH&S) and Environmental Management System (EMS), & soft copy information is stored on the SharePoint.
- Understand the WHSE requirements and processes for work tasks and the elimination of workplace hazards.
- Participate in near miss, hazard and incident reporting and follow up on corrective actions.
- Conduct work activities in accordance with proper procedures, equipment, and training and in accordance with BGIS Management system.
- Report hazards, unsafe work practices, near misses, or incidents immediately to your supervisor.
This role is available in Sydney Central, Mascot, and South-West Sydney.
**Requirements**:
Knowledge / Experience
- 1 - 5 years experience in a similar position - Able to respond quickly to change and adopt a flexible/innovative approach to problems and opportunities - High level is written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
**Qualifications**:
- Relevant technical trade qualifications in an Electrical environment
- Certificate III Electrotechnology - Qualified supervisors licence
- Driver's Licence (ability to drive a manual vehicle)
- White Card (General Construction Induction Card)
